I'm not sure what the difference between these two tags is. They have nearly identical wikis and Wikipedia says that "pitcher" is just the North American word for "jug".
The alias is this direction because it seems like jug is the more common term and pitcher is occasionally confused with pitching. I'm not sure if qualifying pitcher is necessary because it's just going to be aliased after, but the term is fairly ambiguous so I've added it in.
Edit: Updated based off KagayakuShiningGate's idea.
They are definitely different things. A 'jug' is a large bottle (like the plastic gallon jugs used for milk or the older glass gallon jugs used for cider or fruit juice). There appears to be a lot of mistagging right now, but post #4657026 or post #2931700 are good examples.
A pitcher is a large open mouthed container for pouring drinks, but it's a dish itself, not something you'd buy something in from the store. post #2625448 or post #1801140 are good examples. The Kool-Aid Man (post #113823) is a walking talking pitcher.
Most of what I see in jug right now *are* pitchers, but they don't belong where they are, so there's cleanup to be made, but the words don't refer to the same thing at all (at least at I've seen them used, in admittedly North American English). The Wikipedia entry looks very wrong to me though so British English may differ from what I know.
That's how I've usually heard the word used "jug" as well, but it looks like there's hardly any consensus for the definition of the term online (an image search for the word is very split), so we should at least try to differentiate these tags more.
+ Change tag wikis to differentiate the tags and specify milk_jug can be used for any beverage.
Alternate BUR for if we want to try to keep these tags separate I know that milk_jug is a bad name, but I can't think of anything better. Suggestions are welcome.
Edit: I've changed it to jug_(bottle), which is a bit better.
Someone needs to do some really heavy cleaning with these tags. Also, if the issue is with jug, why add a qualifier to pitcher? It's not like "container" clarifies anything, bottles are containers too. I think just qualifying jug should be sufficient.

I probably won't spend too much time cleaning these tags, but the BUR should curb future mistags.
While it's still a pitcher if it has a spout, for Danbooru tagging, it seems to only be a pitcher when you pour through a lip at the rim and not a spout. Situationally it would be a jug though
I'm not sure it's large enough to be considered a pitcher properly though. It is pitcher shaped and serves a very similar function though, so it makes sense to link them.

Yeah I’m removing it from the posts, but adding it to pitcher's wiki so it’s easier to find.
Also can use a second opinion on post #8545343, the one in front of the meat, there’re some other pitchers in the image but that one is significantly smaller.

Most of those are jugs or jars without spouts, but the one by the window is a legitimate pitcher.
