danbooruup 0.3.2 released

Posted under General

Great tool. Thanks
Just a little note, the spinning circle never worked on OSX, and now the progress bar appears not to be doing anything too

Also the related tags are not being displayed, any OSX user with the same issue?

EDIT: Still "Received unhandled error: Preview couldn't be generated (Error Code 4)" on Miezaru of the boorus I tried only

It is seeming increasingly less likely to me that danbooruup is directly responsible for this error.

Albert, do you mind if I upload some crappy pictures and delete them right away in order to get to the bottom of this?

There's a strange problem with the upload progress bar where it won't update on Linux if it's wrapped to the next line, but I don't think I saw it on OS X.

The preview couldn't be generated error is probably a danbooruup problem, though.

Go ahead. Error code 4 means Danbooru couldn't load the image file. Are you sure the file you're uploading isn't actually a BMP saved as a JPG? Those sorts of issues will cause this.

With all the images I tried is doing that. And then I save the file to my computer with the same extension and it works...

Nope, it's something different. I can freely upload these pictures if I save them to my HD.

In addition, there seems to be multiple issues here. Using danbooruup, all JPEGs come up as an Error code 4. GIFs and PNGs work fine.

If I go to the add page and use the "Download From" box, MOST of these JPGs will work, but not all. For example, http://zakka.s1.freexy.net/m2/mc_53.jpg (post #146103) will produce an error 4 if I use danbooruup or the "Download From" box, but works fine if I download it and then upload it using the "File" box.

There may be some kind of redirect protection around images like this, although I'm not certain. The link from the Danbooru source box works fine, but once when I opened my browser with one of the saved tabs being an image from that site, I received a permissions error, and had to navigate back to the homepage and use that link to access it again. This has not occurred since, though.

Edit: As a note, the only images that might have had redirect protection were the ones that worked from the "Download From" box of the Add page, but not from Danbooruup. This is not related to the issue of Danbooruup producing the Error code 4 with all JPEGs.

Also, checked the formatting line in the picture, it's a JPEG JFIF.

Danbooruup options > general tab > uncheck "Show file:// URLs in source field"

At least thats what your problem sounds like.

DanbooruUp => Options => General => uncheck "Show file:// in Source field" should fix the problem.

ok, so i'm not super-technical.. lil help?

So i downloaded DanbooruUp today, and please correct me if i'm doing something wrong, but it does not seem to be working for me.

The process:
1) Found the picture i want on my hard drive.
2) I open the image using FireFox.
3) Right-click to bring up the menu, i select "upload to danbooru"
4) I tag it (http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/4654/taggingdm2.jpg )
5) Click OK
6) This yellow bar comes down from the tabs area and says "uploading <insert file adress> to danbooru..."
7) I'm left with this: http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/1259/imlostit4.jpg

Did it upload? What's supposed to happen?

Well, seeing as there isn't a post that looks that with those tags I would say no. Also keep in mind that a space is good enougb to separate tags.

That is quite a fascinating error (you can tell from the yellow background). I'll have to investigate further.

Having a skin for firefox was causing the problem, Franz. I cant speak for others, but using any skin for firefox was preventing the upload.

I see, I haven't tested skin interactions. Though I didn't think they were able to actually prevent uploads entirely. Which skin were you using in the screenshot?
