This is the official subtitle spelling of the character's name. Besides that, the English word "gentle" is usually written ジェントル not ジェントルー, and this is keeping with the -ru/lu suffix pattern with related names Secretoru and the Bundoru Gang. Not sure if Gentlu or Secretoru are ambiguous enough to need qualifiers, but I can suggest that if it is preferred.
