Perhaps party_ball is a bit too ambiguous to be used specifically for those? disco balls are also used for parties, and are probably much more recognizable than the Japanese confetti balls, so it might be better to leave party_ball empty and use either the Japanese name or confetti_ball as the tag for these.
Yeah, if the official name for the emoji is confetti ball, and the only source for party ball is Super Smash Bros., then confetti ball is probably the better name.
