No.
Not every image that has a sky in it focusses on it and it would not be advisable to just not be able to search for such skies.
This isn't a body part, like eyes, in which case this makes sense.
It's better to create a new tag instead.

I completely agree, but the sky wiki states otherwise. I remember there being discussions before about the usage of the tag.
Maybe a mass update sky -> sky_focus
and then the usage of the current tag is ported over to sky focus, while sky gets used for whatever sky there is?
In which case it should also probably get tags such as night sky, cloudy sky, etc. implied.
Sky is different from all our "x but it's actually x_focus" tags. All humans have thighs, so we don't tag thighs unless they're a prominent part of the image. All humans have stomachs, so we don't tag stomach unless it's a prominent part of the image. But sky isn't a feature in the vast majority of the art on this site. Even outdoors posts often don't show any sky. So it makes perfect sense to tag sky on any post that features any amount of sky, which is basically how the tag is currently being used.
If we want a sky focus tag, then it should be for stuff like post #4723630, post #4722311, and post #4720862. It would be better to create this tag and populate it from nothing than to start with sky and remove 90% of what's currently tagged.
The bulk update request #6714 (forum #194177) has been approved by @evazion.
Some of the *_sky tags had this bit
This tag implicates sky. Don't use it for posts where the sky isn't a significant part of the image (forum #162192).
I went ahead and removed them, since i assume we reached some sort of resolution. If there's need I will add them again.
I can see starry sky, cloudy sky and clear sky wanting to be for more than just a tiny part of the sky being visible. Ironically only one of these had that on it. And I don't think it's being a significant part of the image that's important for those so much as being able to see a non-trivial portion of the sky.
