Although it's the correct name, the "the" is almost never typed. The common acronym is EoSD, the wiki omits the "the" in the title name, as does Wikipedia.
It would help with google hits.
Plus we already omit the The in the Highly Responsive to Prayers and Story of Eastern Wonderland tag names.

Perhaps this could be a change made on Danbooru's side. Steam doesn't acknowledge the use of "The" in game titles.

There are cases like The Ring where omitting the 'the' would be both unconventional and ambiguous (consider The Ring versus ring).

I'd do the alias the other way around to alias the shorthand to the correct name.

Whenever I hear someone talk about a Zelda game they usually omit the whole series prefix, skipping "The Legend of Zelda" entirely and just calling the games "Breath of the Wild", "Twilight Princess" etc. - however, when they do bother to include said prefix, they usually include the "The".

Immediately, but if there are other BURs being processed then it will be delayed until they are finished. BURs are processed one at a time.

EDIT: in this case it skipped fixing the wikis because it didn't know how embodiment_of_scarlet_devil should be properly capitalized. It doesn't know rules of English grammar like the word 'of' shouldn't be capitalized in titles, so when it sees a tag has mixed-case capitalization it skips it for human review.
