Difficulty connecting (with the occassional Error)

Good day. Right now I'm having a bit of trouble with the site as it keeps loading slowly and sometimes it even flashes out an Error 520. Anyone here with the same problem and also why is this happening? Thank you very much.

Our hosting provider was doing some network maintenance earlier today, that might have been it.
