implicating the various kancolle admirals

I have never understood why these were all separated and mutually exclusive.
The only one that could possibly make sense to me is female admiral vs admiral, because that way you can search for both at the same time, which is admittedly somehow common: admiral_(kancolle) female_admiral_(kancolle).
Even then, the mistags are common, because it's not an intuitive distinction.

Don't know much about Kankolle, but is the admiral_(kancolle) tag supposed to refer to a 'base' version of the admirals?

In theory maybe. In truth, I doubt most people care. Also it's dumb that someone has to do a 7 ways OR search just to find all variations.

There's no drawn admiral character in the game or anime to set a base or standard appearance.
