create alias angel_wings -> wings

In all honesty, angel_wings is a completely useless tag that should be aliased to wings. It is essentially just a composite tag for white_wings feathered_wings with occasional alternate designs/colors mixed in simply because the wings in question happened to be attached to a character with a halo. Even worse, a large amount of angel posts aren't being tagged with angel, likely because of the assumption that "angel_wings is good enough".

maid_dress was recently aliased to maid for similar reasons. "Maid dress" did not refer to any particular kind of dress and was instead being used whenever a maid wore a dress, making it a pointless tag with no distinction. As such, I don't see the reason why we shouldn't do the same to angel_wings.

Sorry to bring back an older thread, but I've been thinking about this a bit. I feel like the best option would depend on how we wanted to treat the angel tag. If we wanted it to be like the other "career" tags which require multiple parts of the outfit to count, I could see angel wings having a utility aside from the traditional angels. However, if we were to be a bit more lax and allowed anyone with feathery white wings known to be dead, for example, it could probably be aliased into angel.

The issue is posts like post #684715, post #494934, post #4505509, post #519492. Also a lot of things under fallen_angel.

Yeah, that makes sense...probably best to leave things as is then.
Out of curiosity, what should be the threshold for tagging angel going forward?

Angel halo + feathery angel wings (cupid-like or seraph-like) seem to be easy shoo-ins. The energy/mechanical wings are also easy to consider if they are extra-glowy.
(As an analogy this is kinda like 'demon' horns + demon tail for the demon girls and boys.)

Glowing circular halo alone seem to also count for a lot of people, unless context-wise makes it clear that it's a ghost or (metaphorical) saint.
(Likewise, demon horns alone seem to count for demon girl/demon boy most of the time, but it is still somewhat context-dependent.)

Like ninja and a host of other profession tags there are also a bunch of related-themed tags/garments that aren't angel-exclusive but help reinforce the look, especially for borderline cases. For angels in particular, hmm... pale hair/skin, being 'glowy', white clothes (sometimes lined in yellow/gold), and judeo-greek chitons, I guess.
(And for humanoid demons, dark/red skin, being 'shadowy' or radiating an evil aura, dark or red clothes, skimpy clothes, etc.)

But Amane Kanata probably doesn't (odd 'shuriken halo'), especially if wings aren't visible. Though she *groans* gets canon-tagged all the time even with both halo and wings not being visible. If she has the cupid-style wings then maybe.

And, of course, fallen angel complicates things immensely. All of nonamethanks examples really illustrate some weird border cases where it feels kinda right to tag both angel and fallen angel (or demon).

I'd say halo + feathered wings should be enough, but yeah as NNesico said plenty of people will tag as long as there is 1 of them present, specially for canon reasons.

Kanata should also count if both her halo and wings are present, IMO even if her halo isn't the traditional circular halo.
