The bulk update request #5735 (forum #187658) has been approved by @evazion.

On second thought, this would have been better as `rename arts_club_president -> sunomiya_sana` so that it would have moved the Arts Club President wiki.

Wasn't quite aware how things would work when renaming into a preexisting tag. Sorry.

I take it that it effectively removes the "renamed" tag while moving the wiki to the new name? Replacing the wiki (that was previously under the 'new' name, if any) in the process?

Yes, a rename effectively merges the old tag into the new tag. The tag's wiki is renamed to the new name (which preserves the wiki edit history), and any wikis linking to the old name are fixed. A nuke simply removes the tag from all posts.
