While they are the same symbol, I would be opposed to this alias and tagging some of these posts as Greek cross because of the context of the image. Examples: post #4124963, post #3489695, post #3556078.
If we want to separate the cross and plus, then need to indicate this in the wiki. Describe the conditions for using both symbols.

Not sure I'm understanding what you mean by "She does not use 'Christian forms.'" Are you stating your example has nothing to do with the Christian cross? She's featuring a Christian-derived cross on her cap. The association of medical/hospital and cross is as far as I'm aware derived because of the Red Cross. The Red Cross' symbol in turn is derived from an inversion of the Swiss Flag. The Swiss Flag's cross is a Christian Cross.
