Making subjective tags into pools doesn't really do anything. "Don't make subjective tags" means "Don't make subjective things, period" not "Make them pools instead". Pools aren't any better than tags, and in some ways they're worse, because it goes from a tag you can easily ignore to a big banner next to the post saying "Hey everyone, look at how epic this post is". Then there's the attitude that since it's a pool, there are no rules and you can flood it with whatever you want, since it's all subjective anyway. If anyone does try to clean up the pool, they tend to get accused of pool vandalism. So there's no winning, pools get flooded the same as if they were tags.
