This was brought up and discussed in the Discord, but I wanted to make a topic here for further discussion and to try to find some clarification.
There seems to be a fair bit of overlap when it comes to hoodie, hooded jacket and hooded sweater, especially when something like a zipper is involved. You have people tagging things like post #2730761 as both hoodie and hooded jacket when the wiki for hooded jacket says "Not to be confused with hoodie, which is a hooded sweatshirt". People also seem to be using hooded sweater in the same way hoodie would be used, that is a sweatshirt with pockets and a hood that is unable to be unzipped. For example, post #3988222 is tagged as hooded sweater, and post #4107728 is tagged as both hooded jacket and hoodie, but not hooded sweater when to me, the clothes in both posts are almost identical in terms of appearance.
Another thing to be brought up is what happens when a zipper is involved. Some said that if there is one, they would never tag it a a hoodie or hooded sweater, but always a hooded jacket. But in my opinion, hoodies can have zippers and still not be jacket-like. Take post #4012654 for example. How can we differentiate between a hoodie with a zipper vs a hooded jacket other than material? What's the difference between a hoodie and a hooded sweater?
There's some ambiguity between the tags and I was wondering if there'd be a way to help users better differentiate between these three clothing types.
