An easier to remember name for the staff. While I'm not sure if it is accurate, several sites do list that as a name for these staffs even if wikipedia doesn't. Wikipedia though does forward the search results for sounding staffing to Khakkhara. The Goblin Slayer series in English also refers to it as a Sounding Staff.

This naming does not suffer from being as nebulous sounding as some of the other names, such as beggar's staff, pewter staff, or tin staff.
