Translation questions- edit note, or make a comment?

If I have some questions about someone else's translations, should I edit their notes or make a comment?

What about if you know all the words, just not what they mean. Would it be helpful to just put the romanji translation? As I'm not confident enough to translate fully to english *yet* lol...

If you can get the romanji of kanji, then go for it, I say. But if it's just hiragana or katakana, probably a number of people (myself included, utter failure of a noob as I am as Japanese) can read that already, so probably no gain there.

Then again anyone skilled enough to convert the romanji into English can probably also read the original kanji and kana just fine, and so probably won't need it.

Very true on the reading. Just I am prone to mistakes... As anime/manga type stuff has a lot of in-context, and I'm not the best at that... I rather be right than prone to errors :D .

On a side note, nice to see Danbooru back. Somehow missed the announcement :P . Though would have been nice to keep accounts from previous for stat reasons :( . Meh, lets hope it works better this way around!

What would be the use of merely transliterated notes? Those who don't know Japanese are still not going to understand them, and those who do have no use for them, like jxh2154 said.
