artificial_vagina makes the most sense to me.

How often is that even used IRL? I find it hard to imagine people even semi-casually discussing it with that. Sounds more like a post-op.

Aliases work fine for that. And honestly, if I didn't know any of the names for this device, "artifical vagina" seems like the most natural phrase to use to describe it.

I agree; I didn't know the English name and it was the first thing that came to my mind.

Besides, it'll be a bit ridiculous to keep changing the name as one brand or another becomes more popular.

So I think I'd alias onahole to artificial_vagina, and if it were up to me, alias pocket_pussy and fleshlight to it as well. Do we really have enough readily identifiable, brand-specific images of the various types to warrant their own tags, and thus only an implication rather than an alias? Like aldeayeah says, what about when some other brand becomes more popular?

I can't remember if the first time I came across these things was on JList or the time I misspelt flashlight on google, but JList cannot seem to decide what to call them either:

I don't know why it hadn't occured to me before, but most non-weeaboo sex toy sites list the things as "masturbators".

I see sense, now, in aliasing everything to "artificial_vagina", since they all feature that function. My only hesitance to aliasing "fleshlight" is due to different shapes, but we only have one pic distinctly featuring one, so it could be handled if the issue ever becomes taggable.

This was brought up again in forum #16221 and it reminded me we never settled on what to do here. So, I'm bumping it.

Does anyone object to just doing what I proposed a month ago?

"artificial vagina" is alright, since it's the function of them all, but far as I know, "Fleshlight" is the only brand of those three, and it's distinct in its casing, whereas the other two describe the same free-form(?!) squishy thing, just between English and Japanese terminology.

You could also mass-edit them and let people tag the few pics which actually refer to specific brands, but I doubt that anyone would really care. I say alias them.
