Image Replacement Request Thread

Posted under General

I'm still seeing the "md5 mismatch" tag in post #5011538. Is there anyway to get rid of it? I'm trying to dig for the original source image but apparently the first instance of the image appearing in Twitter was here: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FHpxoKcagAAiFJB?format=jpg&name=orig, but that doesn't work because it's too small at 1546x2048.

Maybe it's this one? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FHrySERaMAApeAh?format=jpg&name=orig

I just want the "md5 mismatch" tag to go away. :(

The original pixiv image was deleted, md5 mismatch just means that there's a revision with a different md5 now. There's nothing you can do in this case, just leave the original source and the tag.

Huh. I didn't know the OG pixiv image was deleted and swapped with a revised one.

Actually, if we're going to use the Pixiv source for post #5011538, can someone swap it out with this https://i.pximg.net/img-original/img/2022/01/09/11/04/07/95080646_p0.jpg please?

Turns out the Pixiv image at the enclosed link is bigger at 1900x2500 vs. the current image's 1800x2384.

Or maybe I should just upload the 1900x2500 image as a parent image and relegate the 1800x2384 one as a child image?

(The link I used for the image was https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FI6tNwrVUAU75CZ?format=jpg&name=orig, so I have zero idea why the md5_mismatch tag popped up again. Does the website prefer Twitter images to use ":orig" or something? Or maybe it was my smartphone?)

UPDATE: Also, apparently my computer hates it when I try to save the Twitter image in its ":orig" format.

UPDATE 2: Actually wait, the problem was that my computer didn't recognize ".jpg:orig" images. Or sometimes it would interpret the image with something nonsensical like "Unconfirmed 892696.crdownload". Being fast enough to delete the ":orig" part fixes the problem. In any case, I uploaded an earlier image from the same artist (post #5052294) and I made sure to upload via my computer and used the ".jpg:orig" format, so let's see if the bots do the md5_mismatch again.
