Matsuri Channel tag / Hololive tags

Posted under Tags

The Matsuri Channel tag was created in the first place for a different Vtuber, Kazamiya Matsuri. A certain user has been adding the tag to posts of Natsuri Matsuri instead and even changed the wiki. Most Hololive members don't need their own channel tag, so I was about to contact the user about this but I thought there was some stuff to figure out about the Hololive tags in general.

1. Cover at some point grouped Hololive, Holostars, and Inonaka Music under Hololive Productions. It doesn't seem anyone uses Productions as a tag.

2. The Tokino Sora Channel and Roboco Ch. tags existed before Hololive was a tag. Maybe the tags could stay or go, though Sora and co still have their own image.

3. Azki Channel tag is tricky, because AZKi wasn't part of Hololive until Cover grouped everything under Hololive Productions, and still isn't part of the main group but rather under Inonaka Productions. She seems to get the Hololive tag mostly out of convenience.

4. Suisei Channel tag starts similar to but she transfered to the Hololive group. The tag could be argued for staying because she was independent before joining Cover but then Sakura Miko would get a tag too.

5. Holostars is probably fine as a separate tag but it could also be put under the Hololive tag?

Anyway, the only thing I want to do right now is remove the Matsuri Channel tag from most posts, but are there any thoughts about tag clean-up here?

BUR #2377 has been approved by @evazion.

mass update matsuri_channel -> -matsuri_channel

Reason: It seems it was a simple misunderstanding, this should be fine.
After this only post #3589703 should have the tag so I'll go back and add it.

Anyway, it doesn't seem anyone has anything to say about the other stuff so we'll leave it for now.

EDIT: The bulk update request #2377 (forum #164181) has been approved by @evazion.

I'm not knowledgeable about Hololive but I would agree that having two copyright tags for the same character should be avoided. Usually channel tags exist just so that vtubers have some kind of copyright tag. If they're part of Hololive then adding a channel tag is just redundant, especially if they're the only character in that channel.
