Now over the last few years I have moved to the position that all numbering on the Web ( to say the least ) ought to be in triads. Viz: instead of 1 - 999, or 01 to 999, it needs to be 001 to 999.
This ensures that computers render the lists in proper order at least to 999. Few series whether of prints or TV series go beyond 999 --- though I should not object to making it 0001 to 9999...
.
Now whilst I can do this manually for pools etc., pressing 'Home' on each to go to the front of the file-name *, I have also wondered if someday the name-allocation for image files, now excellently incorporating essential details followed by randomly selected characters, could be so worked that in a pool [ or other selection ] the order of the pool could be in front of the filename.
so in for example Fate/Grand Order - Artoria Alter Turned Tiny! (Jako (Jakoo21)):
1 - 3 instead of going

I would certainly not expect this to be possible, if ever, for many years; but I would suggest this is a neatness to be aspired to. Maybe the difficulties are insuperable, but it would be a noble goal...
