Drawing the Boundaries for 3D Drawings/"Posters"

I've been poking around this site for about a year now (I didn't make an account at first), and I had a question regarding the rules of uploading.

While Danbooru rules/guides make it clear that this is, for the most part, an anime site, I noticed there are around 115 images for Source Filmmaker, and only about 8 for Garry's Mod (7 of which are under the 'deleted' category). I might add that most of the SFM images involve characters from Overwatch, which is not anime.

I understand that probably 90% of all images for GMOD and SFM are either complete garbage and/or have absolutely no reason to be on Danbooru, but I've also seen quite a few GMOD images that honesty look better than a large chunk of what people in SFM produce, as well as some SFM images that blow the other SFM images straight out of the water.

Which brings me to my point: exactly where does Danbooru draw the line when it comes to 3D images made via SFM or GMOD? Obviously anime is the main goal here, but other than that I couldn't find any further information about what should and shouldn't be uploaded (aside the fact that self-uploads are a big no-no...)

Can someone clarify as to if GMOD/SFM is allowed on here, provided it's of top quality and involves anime in some manner?

I’d say uploading such content is discouraged.

Even if it’s “top quality” and anime-related, the style produced by SFM and GMOD is not particularly wanted here and almost nobody approves it. One or two approvers would approve such content if it tickles their fancy and it might still get flagged for being off-topic.

You can try your luck, but the chance for it to end up deleted is high. Keep in mind that uploading lots of stuff that gets deleted can get you banned, especially if you’d start whining about it not getting approved.

I recommend not uploading that stuff. Other galleries are more suitable for that.

I think he meant "other boorus", but for the sake of consistency, i'd say Pixiv (although you'll definitely find a lot of MMD stuff over SFM).

Regarding other boorus - i'm not really familiar other than this, Gelbooru and Sankaku Complex i guess.
