This alias is incorrect, since a (clothing) mantle is full-size, essentially synonymous with cloak. The clothing usage is somewhat old-fashioned though. It's more likely to be used in reference to the Earth's mantle, or to a mantel/mantelpiece (structure around a fireplace).
