+1 I'm in favor of combining the above tags into those groups. Or at the very least, make the above tags imply the *_camouflage group tags.

I'm not very familiar with camo otherwise, so I can't really comment on their grouping.

I think it's better to generalize them since most people won't know what's what.

Agreed with aliasing them to woodland/desert/tropical/urban camouflage.

Is there a way to request multiple aliases at the same time? I feel coating the entire front page of the forums with alias requests would be somewhat rude.

The tag alias woodland_pattern -> woodland_camouflage has conflicting wiki pages. woodland_camouflage should be updated to include information from woodland_pattern if necessary.

desert_camouflage wiki got transferred over from choco-chip_(camouflage), someone with actual knowledge should fix that. Also, should desert_pattern get aliased to desert_camouflage?

Hello, I'd happily give over my knowledge of camouflage. I understand the desire for people to create broader tags, and therefore ones that are easier to remember and use, but I think this consolidation has gone too far...

Of particular irritation is ACU/UCP. UCP is just blatantly NOT an urban camouflage, it was never designed for that, nor used for that. It is a mountain camouflage and was never intended for urban troops.

The reason so many camouflage tags exist is because they speak of a certain wing or period.

AOR1/2 is only by the American Navy/Seals.
Marpat is only used by Marines.
Surpat is only used by Russian Spetsnaz.
Cadpat is only used by Canadians.
Multicam is used by many, but is a very modern camouflage and therefore associated with time-frame

I will happily provide time and efforts into getting more accurate tags for danbooru, I have already been updating as many photos as I can with more accurate military tags of all kinds, including camouflage!
