I changed the tag ryuudou_(pokemon) to ryuudoo_(pokemon).
The character name in Japanese is リュウドー, so I think I did the right thing.
I'm saying it here to play it safe.

You "think" you did the right thing? That doesn't inspire any confidence.
Looking at just the autocomplete, "ryuudou" tags outstrip the one "ryuudoo" tag. Changing it back unless a translator can confirm.
I’m not really a translator, but the change was consistent with howto:romanize:
- ー is to be replaced by doubling the preceding vowel, e.g. ハー→haa.
Ryuudou is a name, hence why it shows up far more often. リュウドー could be (and in all honestly most likely is - although I'm not familiar with the character in question) a very weird way of writing Ryuudou.
Ryuudoo is... a meaningless string of sounds. Which isn't outside the realm of possibility for a character name, but unless actively confirmed somewhere I'd consider it rather unlikely.

This isn't a character name but a title.

I wasn't meant to inspire any confidence. If I was 100% sure I did the right thing, I would not have created this thread. I did specifically so you guys could double-check.

Yes, I had changed "Ryuudou" to "Ryuudoo" specifically because of that help page.
リュウドー is equivalent to りゅうどう, which, everyone would agree is Ryuudou.
The Japanese just add a long dash instead of a ウ when it's Katakana (no idea why).
Looking through the other Grand Master, it seems they use Katakana for everyone, even if the name is inherently Japanese.

https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Grand_Master_Jack (Kanekouji)
You can, of course, opt for Ryuudoo to separate it from カネコウジ (Kanekouji) who have a ウ instead of a dash.
In all honesty though, I'm sure most translator would just romanize it as Ryuudou since it's inherently a Japanese name.
