I've manually moved the previous holder of this character tag over to endou_saya_(kisaragi_gold_star), and I think we should move Dagashi Kashi's Saya onto this tag now since she's got a lot more posts.

Is there any harm in retaining the qualifier? Even without an alias, you can type "endou_saya" in the search bar and autocomplete will handle the rest. The unqualified character tag can be used for disambiguation.

I wouldn't go with an alias, but a mass edit would work.

As for qualifiers, I would like to avoid them with full names, if possible. Given that the other uses for the name, an artist and an unknown VN character, don't have very many posts, having the more well-known Dagashi Kashi character take over wouldn't be too confusing.

Is it possible to have a proper discussion before changing a fairly established tag?
Because I can't say that I agree with this mass update since having qualifiers should always be prepared. It doesn't hurt to have the qualifiers at all and in case of a equally named and popular character, we don't end up having a headache.

We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Well, my statement was less about this tag in particular (it just happened here and I happen to disagree because I think that a qualifier isn't harmful at all), but in general, I think it is more appreciative to wait maybe one day or two before a (self-made) request is approved (except on really clear stuff like color implications).
Especially when someone is disagreeing, it it a detour to discuss that stuff afterwards.
