[REJECTED] Ice cream

The bulk update request #1617 (forum #146258) has been approved by @Hillside_Moose.

Bumping because I just noticed that chocolate_mint_ice_cream was recreated not long after its deletion in this thread and is being steadily populated once again. Also, it seems like the neapolitan_ice_cream tag got missed in the earlier sweep. Shall these be (re-)nuked?

Neapolitan is kind of distinctive, including visually, in ways that single flavours of ice cream generally aren't.

That said if the consensus is to get rid of it then I won't object.

I feel like I'm on the wrong side of the "detailed tags are good" vs "detailed tags are bad" debate, but I would also argue that chocolate_mint_ice_cream is visually distinct in a way that say chocolate, vanilla, strawberry or other monochromatic flavors are not, since it's got the "blue/green with brown/green inclusions" pattern to it. I don't know if it's tremendously useful or not, but I've also seen it used as a "theme" for characters moreso than other flavors (e.g. Gyari's ChocoMinto Ice music video)

@Shinjidude Actually, I agree with you. It's a much more distinctive look than tags like blue_ice_cream (may that tag never be seen again), and there were indeed a number of mint chip themed outfits and/or personifications that had this tag at the time of the ice cream tag purge: post #1194217 and post #2109496 and post #2399120, for example.

I guess I should have added a corollary to my last reply — if we're not going to nuke the tag again, we should restore it to the posts that previously had it.
