To me it seems like levitation would be a subset of floating.

The wiki for flying defines it as "the act of being in or moving through the air with the help of a propulsion system (usually wings, a magic broom or a mechanical device)" and the wiki for floating defines it as "moving or hovering in the air, seemingly without the help of an outside propulsion system (i.e wings)". The difference is what is exactly causing it to float, so for example wings vs being controlled by an outside source.

Levitation seems like it would be a specific instance of floating then and would belong with images tagged as floating. Thoughts?

I usually use floating for a person and an object otherwise I don't think we'd have a tag for hovering objects that do so "naturally". The wiki definition for levitation describes an outside force (e.g. a person) causing something/someone to hover. So, for example, the islands in post #2641174 wouldn't fit the definition for levitation because there is no outside force causing it to hover.

...then again the outside force could be magic or some other unseen power which would technically be "causing" the islands to hover. But with that reasoning, a person who is floating could be simply magic or some other unseen power "causing" them to hover... My head hurts.

All in all I'm in agreement for the implication.
