Looking at the recent Kashima pics by armadillo-tokage got me wondering, if an artist makes a compilation pic or a pic where they use some of their other works as background props, Would it be ideal to add notes to those other posts with hyperlinks and if so what is the name that should be used?

Depends. Notes with post links look good on artist progress record chart; when the image is more complex like that, comment will suffice.

Oh sorry for writing that wrong, I did understand the hyperlink stuff, I meant more what name should I apply otherwise I'd just get a blank space. I was more asking for custom I would employ if doing this.
So not recommended for a picture like this though, understood. Thanks for clarifying.
I always just post a link in comments, like Type-kun said. Also there is artist self-reference tag, but sadly it's underpopulated.
