How do I update a picture with a new version, and remove a picture?

I was uploading 2 pictures, http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/2544296?tags=user%3Azf http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/2544300?tags=user%3Azf And for the former the artist changed their mind on wanting it on here for personal reasons, and for the later he updated the shadows on it while I was posting.

For the former, the artist himself has to be here to personally tell someone that he doesn't want the image here. As for the latter, we don't delete old versions of revised posts.

Upload the updated version of the post, then edit the outdated version setting the new one as the parent. See anything under the revision tag for examples; also use that tag on the updated post.

Ok I tried setting the new one as a parent for the old one and said submit, but it didn't list it as a child afterwords. does it take a moment?

No; it'll show when the page refreshes when submitting the edit.
