I noticed that a fairly established artist peroponesosu. / tonarino_nitoro hardly had a presence on here. I started uploading some of his work from Pixiv, but it looks like none if it has been approved yet. I am pretty sure that it meets site guidelines, and also that my uploads meet or exceed basic tagging criteria.
P. S. I am also wondering if unapproved uploads is affecting my upload count, since I expected it to reset some time this morning.
albert contacted me to let me know that the moderators are having a problem with this artist, and they point to post #2540790 as an example of a problematic upload. This seems funny, since it isn't even the crudest drawing (in terms of quality).
Something about Nitori riding a cucumber makes some kind of statement that is hurting the mods, which seems odd, since this is quite tame compared to what is normally uploaded.

I dunno about all the other approvers (You imply there was some kind of referendum for moderators on the posts; there wasn't. I assume albert pointed that post out because an approver left a comment on it recommending uploading only a few to "test the waters" next time.) but I passed over them because many of them just aren't very good drawings, simple as that. None of them make any statements or are in any way upsetting, they just aren't capable of being described as "high quality" in any form from my eyes.

When mod leaves a detailed rejection response, an automatic DMail (with Albert as an author) is generated to notify the user; I guess that was it.
