Is it wrong to tag animal ears as pointy?

Because, you know, they're almost all pointy. And pointy_ears is for elf ears (not all pointy eared characters are elves), no?

I would say you're right about that. The tags aren't always to be taken literally, and the purpose of the pointy ears tag is to find characters with elf-like ears, like you said.

Eh, I would say it's more about position than the source of the ears but I'm far from the last word on this. When they're off to the sides in a more humanoid position I could see tagging them as pointy but most definitely not when they're on top of the head.
