Can we still reach consensus?

About the time consumption, what about two or maybe more people sharing the job? Whoever first stumbles upon a problem and has time solves it. If needed one can take some vacation.

I agree with you.
That would be the concept of having super moderators like I said above.

i want to throw in Shinjidude, EB, S1eth, Hillside Moose, RaisingK, and Type-kun. the first five names are among those i always see (aside from those mentioned earlier by others) in 'ancient discussions'. too bad there's not much recently. i could say they are among the pillars of the site and it is highly disrespectful if their names weren't even mentioned yet. surprisingly, Shinjidude and S1eth's activities have declined just when D2 was deployed. however, these five's dedication in this site, knowledge and experience are invaluable if we want someone to have a 'final say'. we want some sort of continuity and we can't be wrong with these people.

Type-kun is an anomaly. just recently promoted but his posts are always right on time in the right place. he shows signs of jxh, well-mannered, non-aggressive, diplomatic, and offers wonderful insights. his background in programming is a plus, he can be a good mediator between albert and the community.

we are not limited to just one are we? i think jxh bearing it all alone in his shoulders is just too much. how about a mini jury-type of admin?

Never thought I'd be mentioned among the candidates, thanks for the trust.

However, I'm not ready to fully take on an admin role. I don't have much free time to spare, I'm not among the "pillars" so I won't have enough authority to end some sort of major dispute, and perhaps the most important thing is that I'm not a native speaker. I still struggle even with tagging less-common clothing articles, so there's no way I could have a last say to decide what to use for tagging an unclear concept, which most disputes are about. It would be a recipe for a disaster.

That said, if some type of jury to resolve things is made instead, I'm willing to participate if selected.

Regarding the topic which is about admin position, I can say that I really want to help handling implications, aliases and other jobs posted at forum but that position comes with being the mediator of the community. To be frank, I'm not good at mediating. Some mods are way better than me in that area, but my personal recommendation would be NWF Renim. Besides being a mediator, I noticed him being active on site in recent months, one of the most active senior mods if not the most.

I will give my vote for NWF Renim as well. He has definitely been a helpful guide since I first came around and continued to be there in times of questions. The idea of a small group to help the next would be a grand idea as well to split the workload or for someone to cover in times of need such as myself being swamped with classes and life matters.

I could not do this myself (given lack of time to spend and not wanting to judge in some instances), but I'm in favor of the idea. And I think both mods who've considered taking it on in this thread (NWF Renim and Hillside Moose) would be good for the task.

While I appreciate the mentions for an Admin position from Hillside Moose and tapnek, I don't think I'm suitable for it. I think Hillside Moose and NWF Renim would make better admins than me. However, if no one else would be available to take it, then I could make some time to.

I know this system working when you two are made moderators with special functions that distinct you from other moderators but the last word has Renim...always.
But I think that a moderation team works quite here and a moderator doesn't jump to hasty to decissions than would conflict with Renims choice^^.
