I've noticed lately that every time I favorite a new image, it raises the score by 3. This happens even when I unfavorite and refavorite an old image, and it seems like I'm not alone judging by recent ratings. Is this a bug or something else?

It seems you're a supervoter who can raise or decrease a score by three.

if i see this correctly the inflation is down to 3 and only last for a week.

I agree. It seems very odd for supervoters to be random when all other promotions and privileges on the site are merit based. Also, if supervoters themselves don't know that they possess that ability, or why, what's the point?
