Is it seriously that funny to everyone to post "OM NOM NOM" whenever someone has something in their mouth?

I've seen this like a hundred times, some chick's sucking a cock and someone comments "OM NOM NOM", someone's eating a chicken leg, "OM NOM NOM", someone just plain has their mouth open, "OM NOM NOM", etc.

Memes are for 4chan, I'm personally getting sick of seeing "OM NOM NOM" every time I check the latest comments.

Look, I used "NOM NOM NOM" because it was the first thing to cross my mind when I looked at that picture, and after a day or so, I felt like posting it. I wasn't trying to win e-points or something similarly retarded, I added it in the comments for the simple reason that I felt like it. I wasn't trying to be cool or funny or witty, lord knows there's no such thing when you're spouting a common line everyone knows and everyone's used at least once.

I was going to say something like "from now on I'll try to be more careful what I say if it's such a big deal," but no, I shouldn't have to do that and cater to the possibility that someone might have an outside chance of getting pissed off about something I write. I said something I wanted to say. Other people say other things they want to say. Some things, everyone can slap each others' figurative asses over how awesome it was and try to become cool among their peers. Other things, you'll say without thought to if anyone even gives a shit, expressing a thought or feeling or expression that you feel like letting out. Not everyone thinks the same way, which is why we have this wonderfully convenient thing called ignoring it if one of the things someone says is annoying but otherwise harmless.

Most of this ranting isn't toward akaro, because while I sense an undertone of annoyance, he's not that bad. His primary focus is on how the comment annoys him. It's mostly surasshu piling an insult on top of it that got me going here. If I were a much, much lesser person, I'd start using "NOM NOM NOM" more often just for that.

Oh, and I just woke up, so I hope you guys have enjoyed my morning attitude when someone slaps me in the face with an insult to start my day.

Memes are for internet. That's where they live; that's where they play~ 4chan did not invent memes, and OM NOM NOM is not restricted to there, either.

I don't mind the thread itself, it's the implication that I'm a dumbass of some kind for making a random remark someone doesn't like, that got me pissed off.

I delete "om nom nom" comments when I come across them.

Isn't spam comments generally not favored on to begin with? The phrase itself doesn't piss me off or anything, but I will agree it's annoying, especially when you see it multiple times at once.

I have a sense of humor, I like a lot of the funny comments on pics, some of them just ask for it. Even for me though "om nom nom" just isn't funny.

Aren't spam comments generally taken as comments only meant to waste space or solicit people for money/web hits? I can see deleting "NOM NOM NOM" if someone posts it five times in a row, but I don't really see how it counts as spam beyond that.

Then again, one mod here said he deletes it every time he sees it. I don't recall seeing it here once until my post, so for all I know, it IS spam and I just don't know it because I never get to see it being spammed.

And if that's true and I knew it, I never would've posted it.

Just stop it. Saying NOM NOM is stupid and there's nothing you can do to change that fact.

Reading comments here that stem from 4chan bothers me too, but I don't complain because it usually tells me that the person saying it is an idiot.

I don't hate 4chan memes, but seeing them used outside of 4chan ticks me off. Especially that one comment that I can't seem to find right now where someone said "EPIC LOLZ XD".

God that pissed me the fuck off.
