tag discussion: rotated vs sideways

tag discussion: rotated vs sideways
is there a difference between the two? the direction either left or right? does it matter? or better to alias them? looking for input. thanks.

I've always thought of rotated as a tag that indicates a kind of (often third party) edit compared to an original image (like photoshop, cropped, detexted, etc.)

Rotated - a child image where a pre-existing image is rotated from it's original allignment.

Sideways - an image where if you turn your head/monitor 90 degrees left or right it would be normally alligned, whether there's an original (normally alligned) image or not.

Just my take on the tags. If that's what they are there wouldn't be any implication or alias, since not all rotated images would be sideways (they could be rotated to any angle) and not all sideways images would be rotated (they could be created by the artist alligned that way).
