Regarding posts 1292991, 1292977 and 1292981

Posted under General

I have created this topic to call into question the following posts:

They have the status of Deleted + Banned (except post #1292981 which I have undeleted as a test).

History (personal PoV):

A couple of hours after said posts were uploaded, a user named deepareas2 had posted a "you should delete this image" comment on some of the posts, and then followed by a tag vandalism move that got the uploader a couple of unwanted/uneeded negative records (which were removed thankfully) and got said vandal user banned.

A few days later said posts were deleted citing "artist request".

First of all, I'm questioning the rationale behind the deleting of said specific images- are we sure that the artists themselves and not someone else impersonating has requested the deletions?

Secondly, And if a ban was requested, would it make more sense to give a blanket ban instead of post-specific bans?

And finally, now that banned posts are no longer subject to deletions, can we undelete the said posts? I can undelete them but doing so may suddenly tick off management.

I would like the opinion of Albert or someone close for this matter.

If an artist wants only specific works of theirs banned and not all of them then that can happen. It doesn't need to be all-or-nothing, there have been many cases of only specific images being banned.

Undeleting banned posts is fine. Albert already did this for thousands of other banned posts. It's just that a handful like these were overlooked since it's harder to automatically detect posts which were banned when the artist themself wasn't banned. Manually undeleting the missed ones shouldn't be an issue.

I don't think Albert checks the forums so you should PM him.

I See. Thanks for that clearing.

Okay undeleting said posts and banning them as noted.
