big AI-retouched vibe from timruya If you compare their 2023 work to what they’re putting out in 2024, the style jump is huge—like they went from an average artist to modare-tier rendering in just a year
They even mention using AI in their both Twitter bio https://x.com/ClumsyBun0 and https://x.com/TunaErozon/ (SD+PS)

update: did another quick look at their latest image, it's undoubtedly AI-generated with some touch-ups

Someone flagged post #8140132 as AI-generated (to be fair, it's tagged as such on pixiv), but I don't think that's correct (Neither the flag or the pixiv tag). There was a recent case with another artist where post #8059828 was also tagged as ai-generated on pixiv, but the artist said it was a mistag, I think the same thing is going on here.

I agree, it's likely an artist erroneously tagging it. This is not AI. Fingers on clothing are layered properly, same with hair against clothes.

Their style hasn't changed much in 2 years, further they aren't spitting out tons of slop in a short period of time. If they are using AI, its likely for shading and backgrounds, which qualifies as AI assisted, not generated.

Also most of their illustrations have WIP videos that seem legitimate.

It mostly freaks me out because the style looks uncannily like official art for the series, but also whiffs strongly of novelAI. I'm fairly confident it's not actually official art because I haven't seen it before, and reverse image search returns nothing.

  • All the details of her outfit are correct for her design, which is rare for AI
  • In the pixiv post there is a sketch and lineart, though the style seems very inconsistent between them (could be img2img?)
  • Deepl of the artist's comments: "I've been drawing for a long time. I'm trying a new style."
  • As far as I can tell all of the artist's other work seems to be meh quality nude edits of official art from the game "ninjas must die"
  • There's some inconsistently sloppy parts in the lineart particularly around her collar, neck and buttons

Maybe AI assisted? I just find it very hard to believe this random nude editor could suddenly produce an original piece in this style, I've never seen anybody reproduce the official style this accurately in the 10+ years I've been collecting art for this series.

Apparently this artist https://danbooru.donmai.us/artists/334914 has been making all their stuff with AI assistance. Twitter thread here https://x.com/Duffmox/status/1834238572196446519 and there are some obvious instances like this post https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/6286552?q=masoq where left hand fingers dont line up.

300+ illustrations in a year were a pretty good tip off tbh.

Should we mass tag everything as AI-assisted? I think most of it is danbooru quality and doesnt need flag.
